Fundraising Event Confirmation

Details

Now that your [recommended] charity is confirmed for one of Boxcar Bar + Arcade’s weekly “Drink For A Cause” events, we’d like to share some basic details to help answer your questions:

  • On your fundraising date, 15% of sales during operating hours (4pm-close) will be donated to your cause.
  • Please be sure you’ve replied to your confirmation email with information on how and where to address the donation check.
  • We’ll place flyers on the bar with your organization’s name and URL and you’re welcome to bring in any additional collateral you might want to leave around the bar or personally distribute on this date.
  • You’re welcome to hand out information, free food items, swag, etc., to help draw attention to and promote your cause.
  • We ask that you don’t sell any merchandise, distribute any beverages, host raffles or collect donations on site (but you’re welcome to hand out materials instructing people on how to directly donate to your cause).
  • If you’d like to inquire about a table reservation for your fundraising date, please click to email our Greensboro or Raleigh staff.
  • Our bookkeeper writes and distributes donation checks once per month, so you should receive the funds within about one month following the event.
  • Please contact our Raleigh or Greensboro location if you have any questions.
    • Promotions

      We’ll be promoting your fundraising event by adding it to our website calendar and announcing it on one or more of our social media channels on the event date – and we encourage you to help us spread the word! Here are a few ideas on how to get the word out, should you choose to promote this fundraising event:

      • Create a Facebook event on your organization’s Facebook page. There are some graphics below that you’re welcome to use as your event cover photo, but feel free to create your own graphics if you prefer.
      • Post to social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). There are some images below which you’re welcome to use in promoting this event, but feel free to create and use your own promotional graphics, should you prefer.
      • Don’t forget to tag us (@BoxcarGSO for Greensboro or @BoxcarRAL for Raleigh) in your social media posts so we can share and help to spread the word!
      • Send out a newsletter announcing the event to the members of your organization and/or to your newsletter lists. There are some images below which you’re welcome to use in your newsletters, but feel free to create and use your own promotional graphics, should you prefer.
      • Add this event to your website calendar, calendars inside your centers or anywhere else that you might highlight upcoming fundraisers.
